    16000

    Hi

I have a budget of 16000 to buy my first ski.
Do you think I would be better off going for a late GP1300R or a slightly older RXP.

    Both are great skis ....

But if you go either get then checked ....

Dont forget the RXP is a 4 stroke which can really $$$$$$ when getting old if need a rebuild ...

Well the GPR 2 stroke cheaper to rebuild if needed ...

Should be good to get a relatively new RXP with that kind of shreddies.

In which case, forget the stroker, as re-sale value is going to be far greater.

Now I have heard tales of 500hr+ RXP's out there, and to be honest, that is one heck of a lot of riding.

RXP's could do with a look at at around 110-130 hrs, which is not what you can buy with this kind of money.

I would be looking at around 20-30 hrs. Find a GOOD example, dont jump at the first one either.

If in doubt, there are dealers with excellent used Skis, willing to warranty it too.

All skis are fickle, but some are stronger than others.

One of my Skis is a nice example of an '05, and withut marks nor anything. It has done 47 hrs, and shines like a mirror. I would not part with her fior any less than $14200 either.

Y0u have to look around, and get someone to give an appraisal for you if in the slightest doubt.

Better buy a good example of an '05, than a 'Bargain' '07.... people know their value, or could sell you a dummy too.

    Where are you in Aus?
