    Fishing rig for jetski

    Hi all!

Do anyone know of a commercially available fishing rig to fit a jetski (Sea Doo Wake Pro)? Have seen some home made versions, and a few examples on youtube. Also have a few ideas to design one myself, just wondering what is out there? Might save me some time and effort...

Also, any suggestions on good spots around Perth area (pref north of the river)? Found a few spots on the net with GPS co-ords, but most of them too far offshore.

    Thanks!

I remember when i was in QLD in the Yamaha dealership i saw a fishing rig looks pretty good, checked the Yamaha site but couldn't find anything. Not sure if Seadoo have one.

There is a site setup just for guys who fish from their jetskis Jetski Sportfishing its in the US though.

I also found a few Jet ski fishing rigs on ebay he wanted $850 for it.

    Hi Madmedic

Im in New Zealand and a local guy makes them profesionally for all types.

I have one he made for my 2005 RXP and it is EXCELLENT!

His name is Andrew Hill and he has a website which you can contact him by:

    jetskifishing.co.nz

You could try him, but not sure what the shipping costs may be.

Good luck, it's great fun fishing from a jetski!

    Hi All,

I have purchased a fishing rig from a company in Brisbane, have seen the one from NZ at Daytona on the Gold Coast and found this one to be of better quality etc. Cost me $899.00

Check it out at Jeski - Accessories for your Jet Ski

    Good luck

Thanks for all the help and awesome sites. I ended up building a prototype myself and have tested it out the other day. It worked really good. It was heaps of fu, and I would recommend it to anyone. You just have to get used to the space limitations and find a setup that works for you. It cost me about $180 (including a top brand 50L eskie). Will do some more refinement to it, and post some photo's if anyone is interested.

    Have fun!

    Hi,

Could not help to notice the question on fishing rig for JetSki. I have started JetSki Fishing WA and would welcome you to join in and go fishing together. JetSki Fishing WA is not a club, just some guys that know each other and we exchange ideas and help each other to enjoy the sport of fishing of our JetSki's. This is great fun especially if a few of us can go out together. Safety is naturally the No. 1 concern so when fishing it is best to have someone going with you, on his own ski. We have all the bels and whistles, fish finders, GPS, rigs, Eski's, safety equipment etc. If you need help and advise feel free to contact me on johan2229@gmail.com. The more of us there are the more enjoyable it can be. In NZ they had a JetSki competition the other day and had 43 entries that all when fishing together. Can you imagine how much fun that can be.

    Regards

    JR JetSki

I have been using my rig now for a couple of months, and it works a treat. Am heading up to Mackeral Islands in Onslow next week, so it will get the real test. Will then post the pics and report on how it went. Has any one got any suggestions on fishfinder/GPS combinations, and how to mount them on a jetski, bearing in mind that I dont use it exclusively for fishing.
