Hello would like to try Jetski Fishing

Hello I am new to Jet ski's.. I have 4.2 meter centre console savage boat with a 40 hp Johnson that I will be selling to hopefully buy a jetski .. my budget will be about $6000 ..I mainly fish offshore In close arround the Headlands around the close in Reefs upto 2km's from shore I may do a bit of Trolling for Mackerell and Kingfish . I will launching off the beaches all the time in boat launching areas I'm approximately 105 Kg's in weight and close to 6 foot tall.. I will be putting one of those Rocket launchers {Rods} and Chillie bin carrier's on the Back of the ski ....... Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thankyou

    Hey mate
Sounds like you have it all planned out, you will need a three seater jet ski just for that extra sability.

If you going offshore remember safety first, always go with someone else and take all your safety gear just like as you were on a boat im sure your familiar with it all.

Other than that enjoy !! im keen to try it myself.

    Cheers

    Hey Mate,

I'm keen to give Jet Ski Fishing a shot as well, there seems to be a keen interest in this lately, so i would love to hear about your fishing reports when you finally get out there.

As Sam said the 3 seater would be the best for stability and apart from that i would suggest a seadoo or kawasaki as the older skis seemed to have more storage room, so that would be perfect for a tackle box etc.

mate good luck with everything and remember to keep us updated!
