Check with your dealer, but from what the dealers near me have said you don't have to be "spot-on" 10 hrs for service, so you should be OK (assume your dealer won't close shope for an extended period)

Sure you can. As you wont have a warranty there is absolutely no point paying hundreds to a shop to do a couple of checks and an oil change. Check you owners manual with what they recomend to be done on the 10hr service. Usually its new oil, check plugs, some lubrication points and mostly checking hose fittings and bolts are tight.

I would replace the oil filter as well on the 10hr, even if the manual doesnt say to.

I am doing my 50hr service on the weekend. The cheapest I found was $350 by a dealer, but I will get away with it for about $100 in parts, and another $40 for an oil extraction pump that I will use for every service from now on.

If you like I can put a post up on how to do your own services, with photos if i feel like it.

yeh no worries. will post it over the weekend or early next week. Its bloddy rediculous what jetski mechanics are charging, its almost as much per hour as doctors, and doctors went to uni for 6-8years and spent 100g's to do so. They charge more than motorbike mechs, and way more than car mechs, when its all basically the same. Guess its because jetskis and motorbikes are less comon than cars, and if people are gonna pay it, than why not charge it.
