Is there much call or interest in Imported Chinese Jet Ski's?
I have done a little research but I am aware that jet Ski's can be imported from China very cheaply, but are they cheap jet ski's? I have looked at the Sea Jet brand. As well as wanting one for myself - do they represent a viable small business option to import and sell in Australia?
If I’m thinking of the same ski they are the Seadoo replicas and come with Suzuki 1.5L motors??
You have to think about warranty, repairs, parts etc. If something goes wrong with the ski where does the buyer go for parts? They will have to import everything else that goes with it.
I doubt parts would be readily available for this ski.
Servicing, you have to find a mechanic that will be willing to work on them. There are only two guys in the Sydney area that isn’t a dealership where you can get your ski serviced. The rest are dealerships only service the brand names seadoo, Yamaha, kawa etc that they sell.
Plus dealerships don’t service personal imported skis.
Just a few things to think about. J
For the average family i doubt there would be much interest as they usually go for peace of mind from a well know brand and they know parts are pretty easy to come by and servicing can be don’t at almost every PWC dealership.
There's a bloke here in Melbourne that's brought 5 in. Looks like he's tried to either start a jet ski hire company or sell to one, it hasn't worked and now he's offloading them on fleabay.
I know very little about jetskis and can tell they're POS.
You can put them in the same class as the monkey bikes that run around the bike paths giving everyone the shits.
