    Hull damage?? What's considered bad??

    Hi guys and girls

Last weekend while pushing the wife out from the trailer the tard started the ski and obviously as anyone who isn't a spazz would know the ski is going to move forward as it did as she panicked and turned the back bottom of the hull ran up on to the trailer... It has made a scratch maybe a couple of mm deep in the worst spot and it's about an inch and a half long.. Just coming up on 8 hours do I go out again as it was ok for the day and didn't leak.. do you guys think I should get it fixed now or when it goes in for first service after this weekend? I have no idea weather it's even a big deal or not? It's not easy to take the ski to the service center to just get it looked at either as they are over an hour away from home and in the opposite direction to where we ski.

    Hey Nathan,

I had the same thing happen to me on my gp1300r which took a bit of impact from the trailer from a mate who wasnt 100% sure how to go on a trailer straight! By the sounds of this mine was a little harder impact than yours, i had a big scratch underneath but i went on and enjoyed riding and never even had it looked at.

Although that said what ski do you have? different hulls are stronger and some are weaker so it maybe worth getting it checked out but i'm assuming if it was okay on the day it should be fine.

For safety i'd get it checked out in case it was really bad and hitting waves all day might cause it to get worse so yeah it's a hard one, do you have a photo you can post up?

    Cheers,
    Dom
