    Help with a project!

    Hey all,

My name’s Bek and I’ve joined your forum in the hopes you could help me with a group project for university. We are trying to gather information to find out whether our idea for our business plan for a ‘Professional Practice’ subject is viable. If you have a spare five minutes and would fill out the questionnaire below we’d be very grateful. You can either post the replies back into this forum, or email us on extremegraphicssurvey@hotmail.com.

    Many Thanks.

    The Business Venture
Our proposed business, ‘Extreme Graphics’, will specialise in decals, stickers, and customised graphics for all extreme sport areas – including motorcycle racing, water sports and off-road vehicles. An additional service of the application of the decals to the vehicles will be offered.

    The Questions:

What kind of extreme sport vehicle(s) do you have? (eg. Vehicles (including motocross, street cars, off-road vehicles), Water sports (including jet skis, powerboats), BMX, any other.)

Does your vehicle presently have any decorative decal or sticker pieces?

    If yes:
*How old are your current decorative pieces?
*If these are the first decorative pieces you have, did they come with the vehicle on purchase?

If these are not the first decals/stickers on your vehicle:
*how many different ones have you had?
*how often to you change them?
*have you applied them yourself or had them professionally applied?
*if professionally applied, have you used the same company for decal/stickers and/or application?
*What panels or parts of the vehicle are these decals or stickers on?

Do these decals or stickers have sponsor identities, or are they purely aesthetic?
*If they have sponsor identities, did the sponsor pay for the decals/stickers and their pplications?

If no, what has been your hesitations in not obtaining any? (cost or time factor, wear and tear, etc.)

Could you please provide us with either your postcode or town/city name:

I'm not even gonna do this 1. I've got 5 extreme toys according to their list. Until recently, I had 7. All of em had stickers. I'd be there 4 eva answering that.............might do it by email later.

Mr Dontbugme has 2 toys (that I know of), both have standard decals as purchased......as far as I know.....never really paid much attention.

    How'd I do Dontbugme?

Studentlookingforanswers, good luck with it but I think you'd do better in another area of market. I've been around these sports for yrs & with family friends who own a signwriting business, I know what $$ stickers can fetch.

What I also know is that the average Joe bloggs doesn't care for stickers & the serious moto-x riders get bike-specific sticker & seat cover kits which fetch $90ea (2 shroud stickers, 2 air box stickers) & $90 for matching seat cover. Jet ski stickers are a pain in the a*** to get off so most leave em on & those of us who dare remove em are mostly racers who'd sooner spend the $$ makin the thing go faster. You will get the odd turkey who will waste the $$ on cosmetics but I doubt you will make big $$ from it, unless you can match the quality of everyone else & undercut their prices. Then you will gain business through word of mouth & it will escalate.

I think if you limit your expertise to extreme sport vehicles then you won't last long, but best of luck to you.

    Just my 2c worth.

My introduction into the jetski world is on a VX110. The only thing I am interested in is a faster ski. I will not be wasting my money on pretty stickers !!
