Don't start me on these poofta's. Technically they have the right of way as they're non powered vessels.

Short story. One day in rocko 5 skis, & 10 kites were sharing some waves. I was jumping the 1st wave of a new set & this kite decided to jump 1 from behind....I saw him just as I'd committed to a wave, he wasn't keeping a straight line.......got airbourne & landed in my path......I landed & swerved hard.....knew we'd miss but there was only about 2 foot between us......I jumped the set & returned to shore to await the next set......this D**KH**D drops his kite & comes up to me, fists clenched claiming that I nearly hit him, & should've given way as he was unpowered. Like F**K I said. I explained wot happened & added that when u get 15 people sharing the same waves there will be close calls......no one's fault, but it was lucky I saw him land in my path or he would've had Kawasaki hull for teeth. His fist raised......"where r u gonna hit me fa**ot"? I had helmet & PFD on & my manhood was below water line. He turned his back to me & got a GOOD bath as I took off. '

I've witnessed SSOOOO many near misses coz of the lack of control they have......& they want us banned?????????

Who cares these guys like surfers are all competing for a small space Just go to some of the Breaks on a weekend you'll see what i mean Just stay 50mtrs away do lots of circle work and it ruins there breaks then watch them Behave like wankers they have no idea were actually aloud to be there..They are just shitty that they can't afford a jetski on the dole and are stuck sharing there little piece of ocean with all the other dole bludgers

i was at rocko the day the guy got dragged into the power lines many years ago... i used to kitesurf till those incidents happened and was told to take up something safer.....


i have many commments about kitesurfers. someone has already mentioned it in a previous posting....

I think most of us do (STAY AWAY) thats not the point and do you think After reading what KITESURFERS say about skis could it could get any worse...I don't go 100mtrs near anyone in the water 50mtrs is really not that far....specially considering most skis do that in seconds..

Hang on a minute. Up til that point ALL of us had been jumpin the waves head on then taking a different path back to shore to give room 4 the next group of jumpers......I was over 50M behind him when he suddenly spun around (to the left) & decided to take the same line back into shore, but even then he got blown into MY path. Lets just establish WHO was stayin 50M from WHO here. It takes 2 to tango hey! If one person wants to they can come within 50M of another vessel. What's that law again??? Oh that's right.....Turn to the right & NO SUDDEN ACTIONS that can cause another vessel to be unsure of your intentions. I wasn't the 1 who broke that law.

It's not just about the law....it's the principle of it all. Yes, I suppose I had time to change my course to maintain a 50M distance but I was headed in a straight line with obvious intentions & he turned into my path.......u tell me who should change course......& not the legal bull***t answer.

I agree with u Toybreaker but it's about time the RIGHT perpatrator got blamed.......I think they need to change their attitudes. I've met a few of them & they all seem to think they're all that & then some.

I'm not sayin anyone should ignore their presence & disregard the law when they're around. It's pretty clear they all think they own the water tho, being that I'm not alone in my opinion of them, all for similar reasons. A good read of their forum will prove that.
