    Js 300

    Hey

Im getting a Kawasaki 300 jetski this week and it has a completely ceased motor.

I have spoken to somone who knows about Kawasaki jetski from a jetski store. He advised me the 300 cannot acept the 440 or 550 motors from the series up and was also advised the 300 ski is slow and your better off finding a 440/550.

My questions is, has anyone put a 550/440 motor into one of these machines? Or any other motor for that matter?

Im getting the Ski for free, so the price is right.

If it is possible to adapt the motors, then where would be the best place to find one?

also does anyone have a downloadable copy of the manual for this ski?

    thanks

Don't know much about the 300, but there's a guy that rides a few towns away from me that keeps a 300 and rides it more than any of his other skis because he reckons its got decent power and was so light (he reckoned the power to weight in waves felt lot better than the 440/550s he has had).

I'd at least have a good look into the motor and see if you can get it going again.

From memory the 300 has more hp than the first of the 440s

but they are both slow and it will make them hard to ride as they do not have the power to pull you out of the hole like you want
