    Cool Need speedo sender

Hi there, Yes I'm a newby(didn't know a thing about jetski's untill now, and so much to learn) got myself a pretty cheep(I think) Kawasaki zxi 1100 99model, spent a few weeks replacing trim motor, repairing hull, coil and leeds ect, finally got it going and in the water and lovin it. Thing is the speedo send thing at the back of the hull is broken so I have no idea how fast it goes, it redlines at 7400rpm (is that o.k)? Also does anyone have a secondhand (send spinny thing) to sell. Also is this model anygood and is there any built in faults I should look out for? Thanx from Northern NSW. Dan

7400 is about right. I had a ZXi 900 that revved to 9000 but it was VERY worked & ran on nitro.

I sold it to a guy along with a spare speedo sensor. The pin that the sensor spins on was bent but I reckon you can straighten it. Before I sold it, I got a heap of stuff from the USA & there was a speedo sensor in it so I just fitted it & kept the bent 1 as a spare as it used to work well before I knocked it hard enuf to bend the pin slightly.

I've got the guy's number so if you want it just email me beardedshark1@bigpond.com & I'll ring him & ask him if he'll part with it.

My speedo was pretty accurate when tested 3 times against a GPS in different water conditions, which did surprise me coz I'd heard they were a little bit out. Where are you gonna mount a gps on a ZXi? Besides, you want it working so that when you sell it, the prospective buyer has 1 less reason to knock you down.
