Maybe it should be called "101 ways 2 turn a ZXi into a race craft" .

I can't wait 2 see how much & where it has improved. Wot started as an engine rebuild has become a full ski rebuild .

Engine mods include:
0.5 oversize ProX pistons
Shaved head & cc'd compression chambers
New crank, rods & bearings
Stock Reeds
Carb re-jetting (2 sizes over- High & Low jets)
Serious exhaust porting (maybe new exh. yet)
Inlet matchporting

Other work includes:
UMI ride plate
Worx scoop grate
Scat trak impeller (14/19 Swirl)
Nozzle extended
Conversion to premix (2 be sure)
Sponsons (recently done)


Hmmmmm, that should see thru my 1st race season.
Hopefully it will b back in the water in 2-3wks.

about a month ago,,, i came across a race photo of a ZXi
stuffed if I can find-it now
rarer than a race photo of a Pro 785

have you got a spare exhaust manifold
before and after photo's of your die grinder work,,would be good
saw some good 2 stroke exhaust manifold port pics the other day,,,i'll try and find-em again

Ok but I will only have 'after' shots of some, as it is being done as we speak by someone who knows exactly where & how much to take off, to get the results I want. The inlet match porting I am doing myself so I will take photos, may not b for a few days tho , been flat out at wk. Some of it won't show on a photo as porting will be minimal....... enuf to make a power increase but also the match porting can't be shown correctly as u can't see the port joins when the manifolds r together.

Pulled the oil inj out 2day. Premix from now on! I had 2 make a blanking plate to replace the oil pump. Got no b4 shots, but this is it now.

50:1 premixed (full synthetic) is gonna be betta than 25:1 inj, not to mention cheaper on oil.....maybe

with the luck he's had,,,it was just somethin else bound to break or come loose & stuff-up.

Got crank case back, all welded up.
