Actually, they're not too bad. I just don't like the way the hole in the hull was drilled, or the fact that it can be dangerous when falling off.
I loop/tie to the pole, but have the end point also connected to the ridgy-didge point as well. Sort of as a back up.
There's a US site that has after market ski poles for kawa's. Look through old posts on this forum to find it. Most likely in the Kawa section.
Thanks, I was thinking more of replacing the tow bar with the U shackle connecter like on the later ski's, just thought someone else may have done it.
That hole was there from factory. The hole in the rubber matting was cut over the top of the existing factory hole. It's the same on my ZXi.....hole in hull but no hole in rubber above it, have a look underneath at rear. I think a 4 point (3 mounting, 1 towing point) strap set up is fine as long as th mounting points & pulling angles are suitable for the stress.
