The other thing with jumping from a car is that u may get varying results depending on the amperage of the alternator on the car coz that's what charge ya ski battery will be gettin if u jump from a car with motor running......not worth the risk.

The point I was trying to make was that because 2 strokes make their peak comp. & higher RPM than the starter can do, then even if u increase comp. u may get the same reading as before, as yor starter will have to work harder to crank motor, likely cranking it slower than before.

There r a few ways u can get a more accurate reading. 1 is by sliding pump back & with all spark plugs removed, put a rattle gun on ya coupling nut @ the end of ya crankshaft.
