Thread: ultra 250 questions.....!!

gday i wanna chuck a few questions out there for owners of a 08 ultra250 x
im pickin mine up today and bustin to get out there now the salesman reckons ya run em in for 10 hours on and off the throttle never keeping it at one speed well i know that i aint gunna be able to do that for that long so has anyone been advised diff i would appreciate it....second question ive heard all sorts of diff advise on taking care of super charger and avoiding charger slip by not spraying engine bay down after ride now i have had skis for a while now and always sprayed the bay down with wd 40 ...this is no no around the charger yeah?? i havebt had close look at how open this area is to over spray since i aint picking it up till this arvo but any advise on this and other matters that anyone thinks i should look out for or problems they have had that i can keep an eye on so i can have no dramas when heading out
a brand new ski should not have dramas but its not uncommon to hear of these things happening more so for other brands than kwakas

Ho welcome to the forums, generally the kawi 250 is quite realiable., ther have been a few probs in the states ie: milki oil under the oil cap. Usually resulting in cracked head, pump problems. I have spoken to a few kawi owner and they don't seem to have any of the problems here in oz. Also spray kawi engine lube works a treat.
