    Newbie

G'day guys and gals - I have just signed up to your little playground.

I am looking to get into the PWC community in the next few months. Traditionally I have riden trail bikes for the last few years, but now I want another vice. This one I can at least get the wife involved in.

I have no idea what to look for in a PWC, although I do know that I want to look at getting one that will tow a skiier.

I am looking forward to posting a few threads and getting more involved with you all.

    Brian

Hi Brian. Welcome. When looking for a ski, consider these things?

    What is the budget?

What will the ski be used for? (ie racing, wavejumping, wakeboarding & biscuits, distance rides or just leisurely cruising)

I also have motocross bikes & just wanted a cool summer sport but ended up racing. I went for a smaller lightweight 2 stroke ski coz as with motocross I like to throw it around & get big air, & I do all my own mechanicals so cheap & easy is for me, but I can still pull a biscuit & do some distance riding although limited.

You can pay anything from $4k-$30K & have anything from a 650cc stand up (harder to ride but good for freestyle) to a supercharged 4 stroke 3 seater runabout ski.
Sold: ZXi 900- Coffman piped, Nitro injected, Shaved head, Ported, Oversized jets, Uni-filters, UMI ride plate, Worx scoop grate, Renthal bars, Skat Trak prop, Oversized nozzle, Sponsons
Now Owned: '98 SPX full race equipped with stock driveline & a proven winner (3rd for 2008/9 season, 3rd at stated round, plus many more podium finishes)
