When I was a kid i used to get in my dads VW van and we drove from sydney to brisbane and stopped at every hidden beach and waterway to surf or swim.

I bought my first waverunner not long ago and want to take my girlfriend on a road trip from Sydney to the Whitsundays.

I want to find places along the way to drop in and have a good ski, be it in the waves or on a nice flat.. the key being places that actually allow you to do it!

Does anybody have good ideas as to where to go?
