    Thumbs up

    Hi,

I had the exact same ski up until 8 months ago when i updated to a Yamaha FX HO.

1/ Do not worry about the small amount of residual water left in the bottom of the hull, your ski has builge pumps and the water left in the bottom is just to low for the builge pump to register the water level.I wouldn't worry about soaking up the water, it can do no harm to your ski.

2/ I used to wash out the hull every so often buy using some detergent and cold water this will help to break down any residue oil. You can fill the ski from the front buy getting the hose up front and letting the water run down under the engine,(do this when the engine is cold). Only fill till you can see a few inches in the builge area. Then put your seats back on and take the ski around the block, this will give the water and detergent an chance to clean the parts you cannot see, when back home, hose down the inside of the ski, tilt the ski up, i used to have the tow bar up on the wheelie bin and open the bungs at that point. hose out and you will have a clean inner hull!!!. Leave to dry with the seats off then give the inside of the ski a good fogging with Inox or Bombardier Lube.

Keep an eye on the oil residue from then on and if it is still there, take it in for a service inspection.

Job done see you out there!!!

    Regards

    Mark

You may off over filled you oil bottle , it has a breather on top which may leak a little .... Or its just leaking a little on the line down to your oil injection or one of your oil injection hoses has started to come apart at the nipple ....
    I asume its a 2 stroke ....
