It went very well mate. Some of us (i.e. me) have realised that fitness is more of a handicap than a slower boat. Then of course, technique and skill come into the equation. Some of us are furiously working on this aspect.
We had two boats retire with problems, other than that, everyone did well. The novice class has gone crazy and now boasts some of the fastest boats on the WA racing scene.
Despite all this, we had a safe, no injuries day! Unless a hangover qualifies as an injury (he says looking at TB).

    Thumbs up

    started off badly
in the water 2 of the 3 XPL races
but it's catching on,,,there were a few swimmers yesterday

sooo buggered, that when the Pro fouled a plug,,,couldn't managed to change-it between races
    .
thinkin good onya,,,I was wantin one of -em to have some sort of niggling breakdown
so I could have a break..
definately hit a brickwall when it was over
    .
    .
    .
long start straight, got the jump in one race, but Marcus and Clint & i were level 3 abreast by half way
we were level 3 abreast in a couple of motos
but there was a bit of backin off happening.......and- er Clint wasn't gunna be part of that,,,, and had the inside line
don't think Marcus's tweaked prop was given him the rev's
    .
I GPS'd with a full tank of fuel and gave the GPS back to Marcus in disgust
XP limited top speed that's for sure.
    .
    .
geez ya gotta ride those XPL's
    definately need some
    fitness
    technique
    skill
    ability
the boats capable of heaps better laptimes with some of the above

    Slippery Jetpower

Yeah TB, they certainly are heavy going on the body! They handle way too good for me at the moment.
I am starting to find that arm stretching feeling intoxicating. It gets you into a bit of trouble between the tight bouys but I just can't help it.
Before the next race, I am gonna install bigger lungs (I need more air dammit) and I am going to duct tape my bum cheeks together, before I rip it any further! I reckon I could shit an A4 piece of paper without crumpling it!
