Tweakin 4 Screamin!
Love the twins! Not nearly as difficult to dial in as I thought they'd be! Now if I can just solve a few electronics "issues"........
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it!
I'm extremely happy with the thing i've got at the moment Kelvin
except for the water routing
need to have a look at yours, can sort of remember yours was reverse flow
see attached water re-routing idea's
.
tested it on Saturday with a few fully pinned flatwater fly-bys
according to racepak,
RPM 7350 and just cracked 7400
1130 degrees, alarm set @ 1150
.
definately think it's been propped for low-end,,,it's excellent down there, jumps outa the water almost
tops out,,red-lines a little early maybe
Sounds good. So you are also on standard Rev limiter like me? What does your water injection look like?
The reverse flow thing you refer to on my pipe was just for plumbing convenience, it was not a performance thing. Occasionally I also get a boot full of hot water!!! The position of the pissers needs to be looked at. Maybe point them down a little to reduce flow into the gunnel?

water injections in the photo, they're the smokey clear lines, stock Factory pipe injection, It's not electric solenoid type, think it's an RV type and opens up a revs / pump pressure.
.
ignitions stock, beep, beep, with factory pipe curve which is the RXX curve apparently..
.
what temp and revs you guys runnin at?
TB
i dont think you will be on the rev limiter as you have a reburt Mpem
it is more likley to be the pipes / port timming that is stopping it from reving
still 7400 -7500 is the normal sort of go for a run of the mill TP
my boat pulls 7700rpm 72.4MPH and gets there quick
if i proped it up more i would get it going alot faster but ratehr have it so it revs and is quick point to point
greaat to see all these twins getting up and running
well done guys
I'll guess you have MSD ignition and a lightened flywheel
sittin on 7700 for a while......what temp do you run??
i know the exact probe location can make a fair difference on temp readings
no i run a rotax racing mpem
yes i made a light weight fly wheel for it
i dont run Egt gauges on my ski's
the last time i ran EGT was back when i was working on GP bikes
i tune buy tacho and ear drums only
never nipped it up
my engine likes to run on the rich side
and jets are cheaper than pistons
