Thread: XP Help Needed

Guys,

My mate has just bought his first ski, a '97 XP, which he believes was used for racing and has just had a full rebuild.

Anyway, he is having major grief with it.
He has not even had it on the water yet.

Initially, the engine would turn over but not fire up. New plugs installed, checked all electrical connections etc. Battery fully charged, Still the same.

Now though, when he attaches the DESS key, there are no beeps. It is totally dead.
The battery is still fully charged.

Apart from that, the fuel gauge is goosed, the speed sensor is missing, there is an oil leak from the oil pump and various other niggles are starting to rear their ugly heads.

Anyone able to help him out?

He has called Seadoo West, but they are fully booked for the next month apparently.
