Are you talking the 3d ski with the Direct Injection engine or the carb version....

If DI model then you have to reprogram the ecu and no one but orbital can do it for you if they still do....

My head starts to hurt just thinking about it! The head work is minor and so should not require any action (maybe just confirm compression ratio). Are those Orbital systems a total lockout for Seadoo agents Chookc?

Yep the orbital guru comes to the shop to reprogram when you buy the upgrade kit... But 3years of DI modding tells me don't do it....

Oh.. true.. Yeh it is the orbital engine

I was hoping that with a mild head shave (20 thou) and with airfilters and reeds that i wouldne be changing too much that i would need to re-program the ecu..

I know there will be a little more air flow with filters... and more comp... but was hoping the the general "standard" tune would be prety mild and that it would cope with a little more comp without detonation...

hmm..... might leave the head job for now and do the filters and reeds..
