    imports

hey there, just new to the forum today and find it very interesting reading.I have had many verbal threats via phone and several threatning letters from BRP Australia over the last 2 years for selling Seadoo skis at affordable prices. They have tried many times to call my bluff but having sold a large no of skis and still selling i guess it hasn't worked.Yes i have all the necessary equipment to programe new keys and conduct any ECU diognosis work.If i can help anyone with any issues with reguards to imported Seadoo skis or issues with dealers not serviceing an Australian delivered ski because you didn't buy it from them please feel free to give me a call and i will do my best to help.Call 0407740664 and leave a message if no answer and i will ring back that night.Or email sjferguson1@netspace net.au
PS. I've even had the local dealer here in Traralgon come to my house taking photos and making threats. All i can do is laugh in his face!
    cheers stewart

Me, Mine is a "Grey", but read my posts elsewhere.

Better service, polite, efficient but most of all, realistic price TBH.

Ya can PM me, I know the way to get it sorted out if you want... wherever you are in Oz too..!!

So true about the dealers, I feel for them, their arm must be tired from being twisted up their back, and wallets must be draining off now.

The "No Service" is just a fable, and exists omly if you let it.

    Ebay

I recently purchased a brand-new RXT and a brand new RXP that were still in the crates off eBay.

I went to my local SeaDoo dealer to try and establish a relationship for the ongoing service and maintenance of my new jetskis and have now discovered that the Sea Doo dealers will not touch imported Sea Doo's.

Mine are not imported from the USA, but directly from Canada. I was told they would purchased directly from the Sea Doo factory and that's Sea Doo will sell the previous year's models directly to the public as in my case. I am not sure if this is true or not, but this is what I was told. My local dealer checked the numbers on both my craft and said they were not in the system as being imports and that they could service both my jetskis. They then went on to tell me they would have t contact Sea Doo to double check further because I told them that they were imported. Nodoubt my jetskis will now appear on the online import list.

I have a large family and I am in the market to buy another two jetskis in addition to 2 double trailers. I told this dealer that if he could not service my initial two then he would not get the sale of the other two, or the trailers. I have ontacted them a number times they haven't come back to me. It's obvious that these guys all band together to outlaw anyone with any import Sea Doo jetskis.

What I am asking is there anybody in the Sydney metropolitan area thancan assist me with servicing and new keys should the need arise. I read these forums and see that there are a number of solutions available. However, these are all in different States.

I would be keen to buy any computers and the like to maitain my own and spare keys if anyone can assist. I am also keen on getting together with a good mechanic and throwing a couple hundred thousand dollars at setting up a great workshop to assist all the people in this same situation in Sydney in addition to importing as many containers o Sea Doo Jet Ski as I can get just to piss these dealers off and break their stupidity...

Look forward to hearing from anyone.

mate - welcome to the world of seadoo!!
you have done a great thing and saved your self thousands buy buying and import!!
servicing , diagnostics & key coding are NO PROBLEM for any import owner!
there are independant techs all over aussie with diagnostic equipment ready to work on your ski!
all this crap from the dealers is just crybaby sour grapes because they did not make the 5-6k profit from you!!
google "tall poppy syndrome" kinda sums things up really!!!
what makes you think you need to take this thing to a dealer anyway????????????
if you really are keen on a workshop i can even sell you the genuine BRP diagnostic set up so you can do everything yourself!!
check out www,brpdiagnostics.com , its all here!!!!

I could not care less about the grey skis, but I just hope that the non dealers with buds are not (with out knowing) programming keys skis on stolen / rebirthed skis? Do you check with BRP ect & do a full check to prove ownership proir to reprogramming keys like the dealers?

Well said Cookie. What a shame we have people about with a don't care attitude. Let's hope their goods are never stolen and re-birthed. But then again, it may teach them a lesson. One would hope so.
