Check with where your mate got it from in the states
Whatever way I can see it being very expensive.

Or is the ski stolen and you can't take it to a Seadoo dealer. Why wouldn't they help you out, you pay them for it

BRP Aus won't let Dealers Replace the Key on a Grey Ski.....Weather its in front of them or not.
If there is another way I don't know it. Contact the Dealer it was bought from?

Oh boy, ironic that we were talking about this just the other day. Very difficult to get local support on grey BRP products (not sure about the rest).

No Its Not Stolen I Have All The Papers To Clarify That It Was An Import And So On , And Ive Had A Friend Of Mine Who Had The Same Problem And When He Contacted Brp And Told The Problem Brp Australia Said They Dont Have A Clue Why I Cant Get A Service And They Never Said To Any Dealers That They Will Take There Licences From Them , My Guess Is Dealers Just Dont Wana Help Cause They Think That Your Cutting Them From Profit , I Can Understand If I Have A Brand New Machine That Has Not Been Used And Need Something For Ok But Mine Is A Second Hand Seadoo And One More Tning I Hate Is They Call Every Other Seadoo That Comes In To The Country A Grey Import Hellooooooooooo!!!!!! There All Imports

I Have Had Services Done To It But By Every Other Jetski Place Not A Seadoo Dealer They Wont Touch Like Its Ome Diseased Rat

And Lastly I Am Seeing All These Imports On Ebay And Trading Post Going For Dirt Cheap And So On , So Whats Going To Happent To These Skis Once They Lose A Key Or Need Some Parts Or What Ever Whats Going To Happen Then

Surely This Game That All Delaers Are Playing Has To End Somewhere , And I Dont Blame People For Buying Imports Overseas Prices On Seadoo's Are Dirt Cheap And Even Seeing The Ozie $ Very Strong Against American The Saving Are Not Being Past On
    Sounds Like Greed To Me

Have spoken to a number of BRP dealers, and they all say that BRP Aus have said they will pull dealership rights if grey imports are worked on.
As for other grey imports of BRP products - those that have them may well be stuffed if something goes wrong (unless they can find either a dealer willing to risk it or someone else who can work on their ski).

Best of luck with your dilemma - hope you can get something worked out

Also have read of BRP dealers in the US losing licence for selling across the border to Canadians - as it was "out of territory sale". So it's not just something that's happenning in Aus.
