    RXT Rpms

Guys i was wondering what a stock '06 RXT should rev too.

I feel like my ski has lost a bit of power, unless I'm just getting used to it.
In a straight line she is only going up to 7600rpms. When carving up doing doughnuts she goes to 8200rpms.

Is this normal? Also my top end feels slightly down too. It used to get up to 114kmh all the time. Now most days it only seems to get up to 110kmh.

Ski has 38 hrs on it. Let me know what ya think....

I would be checking the Supercharger Washers........My guess is the Ceramic ones are broken and sitting in the Bottom of your sump...

NOTE: Dont ride it anymore until you check it out.......

Give me a call 0407414439 and ill guide you through the checking process its easy......

If the Ceramic have let go you should instal the Titanium ones i use and you will not have any further problems.

My Ceramic S/C washers went in the first 2 hrs of use and then Seadoo replaced under warranty and it lasted 1 hr.......After many hours research we solved the problem with a NEW design metal washer with a titanium coating and i have installed and sold hundreds of these and have not seen one ski come back as the new material wont break into fragments like the ceramic one do.

I would be checking your wear ring also if you have not already replaced it at 10 and 20 and 30 hours then it is long overdue for replacement.. That is if you have the plastic liner... I would go the stainless myself...

Just came back from Avante. Washers are good still. He says it is either the opas filter or the pump. ???

Its booked in for tuesday. He said I could use it still this weekend, but don't think i will. Might hit Adventure World on Saturday instead. If anyones interested, come on down.....

I didn't know there was a wear ring that needed to be changed that often. Is it easy to do?

Ususally 6400 RPM"s are the magic number when the ceramic bearings go south. I would guess the wear ring is shot. Depending on its condition it can be reversed/flipped and reused for another 40 hours or so. or replace it with new if you are not a cheap ass like me

got ski back from shop. They have checked supercharger washers, opas filters and wear ring. all should be ok they said.

Tested out today and its still not right. feels bit more responsive, but still lower top end of 108kmh. Revs now go to 7740 in a straight line in decent water. Still down on what it used to do.... Still blew away a new yamaha down the swan tho!!

    What could it be??????

I want to put performance kit on soon, but feel the ski should be running right first. I'm hangin to go faster, not slower!

If it is not the wear ring, I would say the prop needs to be repitched, or the S/C is slipping at WOT. you should probably install metal washers in the S/C anyway and check the slip moment on the S/C. Take a flashlight and look into the pump. If you see the wear ring is scarred, or lots of light shining through around the prop, it is your wear ring.
