If you bought 05 model metal washers, they will fit to 05 shaft. The washers for 05 and 06 are different (06 are thicker than 05) and maybe he thinks that you have to have 06 shaft but that's not true (as long you bought the right washers)

I'm intrested to know how much differance the metal washers are compared to the ceramic ones.just bought an 07 rxp and was told the standard washers are fine. yet i've heard so much about people putting in the metal ones. How long should the ceramic ones last. dealer reckons the ceramic ones last and should be fine for at least 100hrs. True or false

Ceramic are known to fail so mose people that have experienced this will tell you to Buy the washers.....We have them in stock buddy!

My advice change them its cheap Insurance......If the Ceramic let go they will mess the engine up.....Yes it can be fixed but you then have the chance of ceramic pcs grinding out your Oil pump....

    ive me a call

Would it be best to leave as is til the warranty is finished?????
Does Seadoo cover the motor if the ceramic gets spat through it?

Then put other nice shiny bits in when ya have it worked on....

Yeh the warranty would cover it. Well so i was told. If it came down to it and it was going to cost them i'm sure they'd find a way out of repairing it. It was going to cost 400bucks to have the s/s ones put on. As you say slippery might be worth leaving it till warranty runs out and i'm having the s/c's 100hr service done. I dont want to be forking out 400bucks, i cant think of better things to spend it on.

Just took the ski out on the weekend after getting the new fan and washers put in..... holy sh*$ it flys now that thing just jumps out of the water, there was a guy out wit a rxt with and intercooler and a fair few other things done to it and he wanted to drag. mine left him behind, think he went straight home after that to order new s/c blades. lol any one thinking of doing mods i highly recommend the fan.

I run the hardened steel washers. I advise all RXP owners too also.
