yeah true that...My T-X runs even with a RXT with B-Kit...and the same as a T with a RUDE1 running 14psi...It would be interesting but remember theres alot of hype that gets peddled there all here to make money....I've seen a RXP with a c-kit leave everything for dead too though..les make good gear but every ski is different....its hard to tell until you get it on the water...I think the A-kit keeps your ski reliable which is a plus you get to crazy with the mods then your ski will spend all its time with les....If you don't have an external IC that should be your next mod for sure...also the RXP-X has a bigger pump tunnel...
The fact that it was reliable and didnt put any added pressure on the ski was the largest selling point. They say a C-kit engine is good for only about 50 hours. I can't afford a rebuild so i think A kit is enough for me.
Maybe a external IC and a 4 inch air intake next. Any ideas on DIY air intakes ayone?
Yeah go for the 4 inch air intake for sure. I picked up about 200 RPM and 3-4kph just with that mod. Plus the supercharger noise from the intake sounds great. There are a ton of posts on greenhulk for ideas on different installs. If you get stuck I got a few picks of how I did mine if it will help. So far so good, works a treat. I ride in open surf and have been swamped by fair size waves with no water intrusion due to where I mounted my filter. Plus Im running an outerwears just incase.
I just got my ext intercooler and am fitting it as we speak so Ill let you know once its in and on the water
Get external I/C for sure. Bin the flame arrestor/intercooler in the manifold.
B kit is the way imo, never had any issues with it. It gives plenty of lowdown and mid range, whereas the C is all top end... and, according to the man himself is not that much more speed-wise.... I agree.
Not sure about the re-build part though. It is all depending type of thing.
26042009291.jpgHey Evan
I got a brand new XS power IC that came as a kit from Jrfizzle from the greenhulk forum. I bought it off a forum member that never used it. Got it delivered for $400 complete with all the plumbing so hoping to see some good results with it.
The 4" air intake is pretty simple. As the pics show, I used a product from Clarke rubber which is identical to the Kanaflex hose that the Yanks use. Its abot $60 a metre and I think 1.8m was ample. I used the R&D 4" supercharger adapter, and a 4" aluminium coupler to join the hose to the filter with a bracket I made myself welded to the coupler. I mounted the bracket and filter underneath the glove box above the fuel tank. I used a Spectre 4" stainless filter and got an outerwears water repellent filter cover from the states for when I ride in the surf. All the stock shit was removed. I mounted the rectifier into a piece of 100mm stormwater pipe that I used to take up the slack in the tank straps. All up probably costed about $240 to do but is far superior to just about anything you can buy off the shelf let alone $450bucks for the crappy Riva 3" intake. Greenhulk is selling a kit for $160US if you cant bother chasing up all the bits. By the way you will have to run an oil catch can aswell unless you want to reroute your breather back into your intake. I used a Jazz products catch can from ebay that I found for about $50 which is identical to the Riva catch can worth $280!!!! Anyway best of luck. It is a bit of mucking around but the cheapest and best mod ive done to date.
If you got any more ??? feel free to contact me.
