    Upgrade to 2008 GTX 155

    Hi guys,

I am new to the forum and new to upgrading a jet ski as this is the first ski i have owned. But I have been looking at what is available and I understand if I want significant increase I should sell it and buy a supercharged model, but that isn't an option at the moment.

I have been lookin at the 'R&D Performer Kit for 155 HP Naturally Aspirated Sea Doo' that can be found at http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...roducts_id=774
and was wondering if anyone has done this to their ski and what was the improvement like etc and is it worth doing?

Any feedback or suddestions is appreciated.

    Thanks

I think anything you spend on your ski will not give you any substantial improvement in performance. Apart from simple mods like possibly a free flow intake. exhaust,a few free mods and possibly an intake grate/tweak prop you will more than likely be disappointed in the money you will spend.
Most of the mods around the supercharged models revolve around the supercharger being used. Basically like in any forced induction motor, the more boost/volume of air the more power.

I think that you ride the guts outta what you have until such time that you can buy a supercharged model. Then your modding potential is as limitless as your wallet can accommodate.
    Best of luck
FORACIN 05 RXP-Greenwheel SC,XS IC with bleed mod, 42lbs inj, Solas 15/20, Turbosmart Dual Port BOV, 4" front air, Jaz catch can, water box mod, Riva thru hull, Riva Pro block offs, filled ride plate holes, R&D intake grate, Riva Pro nozzle 81mm ring, custom 1" dropped sponsons, Rule bilge, Groco strainer, Hydroturf mats, Autometer boost gauge, Jet Trim seat cover.
With the magic hands of Richieb and help/advice from Jerry - new speed of 76.3mph @ 8050rpm 1/2 tank of gas,32 air,23C water!!!

+1 be happy that you have a realible, fuel efficent ski....when you want speed start saving for a new one as the money you spend on a NA ski will be a waist....It is a nice ski the way it is anyway....and to make you feel better my T-X goes through a tank 60ltrs of premium every 3 hours.....being that I'm now at 150 hours $3,600 in fuel in a year and a half....Enjoy your NA ski....

Thanks for the feedback guys, the package i mentioned is listed at US$550, and includes R&D GTX Aquavein Intake Grate, R&D 2.5 degree Pump Wedge Kit, R&D GTX 4Tec N.A. Power Plenum Filter Kit, R&D/Solas 11/19 Impeller, and R&D O.P.A.S. Recreational/Offshore Kit.

I know you mentioned that probably would not be happy with the change in the ski for the money, but what do you reckon about the parts above for the price?

    Thanks again.

Good price...a solas 15/22r sets me back about $AU500 delivered...factor in it'll cost about $150 to $200 aus dollaz to get all that kit here its usually $80 to get just a prop here..you should see some improvment with the prop, grate and filter....the R&D stuff is better then the riva gear IMO to....
