2007 GTI SE regulator rectifier problem

I have a 2007 GTI SE that has a 12v error (mostly when starting for 10 sec.)
The dealer checked everything (reg gen bat etc...) no problem found ( so he charged me over $100.00 even thought it is under warranty!!!!
(B 4 I left the dealer I got on and started it!!)
Still 12v error.. Dealer said that is normal????? ( St. Tammany Marine Mandeville la.)

Looks like most are having trouble with the rectifier, regulator,, mine is part # 278-001-969 Has anyone tried to change the rectifier to a larger amperage?? Has anyone taken this apart???
Does any one know the specks on this part ?? ( or where to get them the specks) amperage, diode part #

Has anyone put a second battery in (switchable) and if so do you charge it off of the existing regulator???

Check the fuses on the charge line.

Seadoo put out one or two pretty bad socket connectors, and you may find that if you look at the blades on one of the fuses, there will be a minute blackened pitting mark on it. This is your problem. It happened to me this one.
