    Repairing the Hull

I got some damage to the bottom of the hull on the RXP a few chunks out of it, went too far up the river and was shallower than I thought only going slow thank god the question is

I have someone to repair the hull he has already inspected it no worries but we need to build a jig /hoist/ rotisary what have you. Can the ski be rolled on its right side 3/4 of the way from horizontal with the oil still in it. Fuel will be drained out but not to sure about the oil.

And how do you go about emptying out the oil. Cheers Trent c

    Hey Trent,
Just did my hull a few weeks ago. All I did was drain the oil. My fuel tank was nearly empty so I left it no probs. I suggest removing the battery aswell so the fluid doesnt come out of the overflow.

I suggest also removing the plugs before starting it up for the forst time incase some residual oil makes its way into the chamber. Crank it at WOT for a few seconds and all should be sweet.
Getting the oil out you will need a vacuum pump and a thin hose attached to go down the dipstick pipe.
Id personally get as much oil out as possible, even though ive read people have done it without removing oil.

We lifted the ski onto a bed of old tires and rolled it to the right(inlet manifold side) completely to 90 degrees to access the entire underside and secured it in that position.
Heres a pic. Just be carefull and you shouldnt have any problems.
