We just did some testing of the Rad 4 Racing torque plate and were surprised with the results. The claims are lower piston temps and subsequent engine temps with more hp at the upper end of the rpm threshhold. Im figuring the greater distance from the valves to the right angle turn in the exhaust manifold gives the gasses more time to move per cycle but im no rocket scientist. We installed it easy with the kit parts provided and ran it on a stock engine with a solid 1mph gain. Seems a cheap mph when your looking for everyone of them with very easy mods and or no real budget.
Our tests on the RXP yesterday showed a 60 to 100 rpm gain and a solid mph on gps. The ski was on salt water and had Pro series opas block offs and DCbell removed plus a Riva air intake. The Rad 4 Racing Torque plate is also now available with holes for EGT probes to aid those tuning per cylinder set ups.
