"Check Engine" warning & Error code p1502 on RXT 215 08 - 10hrs old - Ideas?
Morning all,took the beast out yesterday to try get some hours up for its 10 hour service. Ocean riding all day and on the way back in after some wicked donuts and general cruising, beeps started. Luckily coming back in to the beach so no tow required. Check engine warning came on and error code p1502 displayed.
Battled to restart and when it did I never had full power, misfiring going on and the day ended right there. Its is about to hit 10 hours and go in to local dealer for 10 hr service.
Researching this error code means its a T.O.P.S error right? What is that physically? A small box we can check or all ecu/ computer related? One of the fuses appeared to be out slightly, pushed that back in. How does the error code get cleared? I am concerned it will come back even after the 10 hr service. The delaer should check the T.O.P.S system and clear it with their BUDS machine? This time of year means they are closed and I wont be skiing until next week when I am back at work
Its a small black plastic thingy, measuring about 4-5cm square and it is bolted to the side of the fuse box. It could have come loose, they sometimes do. Check it is upright position, and secure.
Thanks Richie, my bbay has gone in today for its 10 hr service and to get that error sorted. They were gonna plug in the "BUDS" system and fix it. Otherwise,checked that box and it was secure and upright - all good.Hoping to back on the water this Thursday evening. Cheers.
