so you only had 1 manifold total? are there going to be any others made and sold?

    thanks, dan

Did you lose any top speed or did it stay the same?

Are you making more and how much will they cost?

What makes it a drag manifold?

    Thanks

    Hi Guys,

    Welcome to the site!

Ill answer both of you above in 1 go.....

We like all of you guys try to invent and reinvent the wheel so we tried with manifolds.

Yes it lost a little top end but alterations with the SM4 Autronic helped this.

We like others learnt the stock Runner are the best with a specific Plenum tank that allows all Cylinders to produce the same HP.....Thats a key factor.

When Building Manifolds we found 1 of the 3 cylinders was not producing the same HP as the other.......(Im not telling you which one )

We have a newer type Manifold that we have been running a few months and it works great.

The biggest trick is trying to fix the new tank to the OEM runners!

It will take many types of glue until you get it sealing correct......

7-9LBS boost is good but when you hit 15-16 most manifolds will split in 2 (I know)

Yes we can make you a manifold and i will work out the price. They are not cheap.

Our Manifolds give huge acceleration to mid range....Pull out of a turn and pump the throttle and good by all

    Hope im making sence.....

interesting......... just keep in mind that the RXp in the video that ran 91+mph was turning 9200+RPM's, but you proab know that already.

If you are talking about the full Aluminium unit i made, No it didnt get hot as the cooler Air from the intercooler worked a treat in keeping temps down.

Once the motor was turned off the Heat soon worked its way from the cylinder head to the Manifold.

When the ski was WOT you could place your hand on any part of the manifold without any problems, Runners and Plenum were cool,Manifold face plate was warm to hot.

I would have no hesitation in making another Aluminium manifold but to mirror image the OEM nylon tapered runners is very hard and expensive to re-produce in Aluminium. The OEM Runners are A1 and cant be beaten take that advice from me as i have made many designs trying to perfect this area.

I see Shibby in the USA is trying a new manifold design! Its good to see some one step out side the box! Keep in mind you need to do your home work and get the plenum chamber the correct capacity and shape correct as you will find 2 cylinders will make more power than the other one...........It will still work ok but not perfect.

This one i made is the best design yet and yeilds great results. Click on the link below below:

Yes... this was a concern of mine before I even STARTED.. getting equal air flow to each runner... either need control over the parameters of EACH cylinder to level things out, or need to compensate for it in the plenum shape and design... I know what you mean.

I'm still playing around with it and fine tuning. I finished version one of my intake manifold about a month ago, but there's still more to come with it. My ski won't be running for the next 2-3 weeks as I'm waiting for one of my engine components to come back from machining

    Hey Shibby,

Please post me the results mate so we can compare with each other.Ill be interested in your findings also.

Well done with the modification as it takes plenty of thinking and hours of hard work to get it right.

My testing revealed the OEM Manifold is NYLON not Plastic......
