    Mechanical issue

Took my wake out at ocean reef on weekend. I had towed somebody in the week before just idleing for about a ten minute stretch, and by the end of the tow the ski did not sound like it was running properly. I gave it a bit of a rev and i thought it started running again ok, so then packed it away. This week the ski was revving up to 8000rpm or so but it felt like a clutch slipping in a car. The ski has only done around 12 hrs and I have had the s/c washers changed already....Trouble code P0020 came up on screen then would go away. Checked with the codes listed on here to no avail. Any ideas until I send it to the Doctor. Thanks

If its hitting 8k, then S/c is ok.

Check to see what is jammed in the Jet-Pump.

Checked where the water sucks from under hull and noticed shaft propeller rubbing on ski....Obviously this is the problem. Getting looked at next week.

Had alook under my ski and it seems i must of sucked something thru the hull intake grate which in tern has made my jet prop to score on the underside of ski which will need fixing in order to fix this cavitation problem. Any idea of cost and is it possible to fix myself????????????? Cheers

$200 if you take it to a dealer A new wear ring will be $110 then most dealers charge $90 an hour but when you say the prop scored the underside of hull this dosn't make sense can you post a pic....If its the liner you will have to remove your pump then you need a prop removal tool to remove the prop from the pump ...get the old liner out by drilling down the linear and useing a flat head screw driver to bend the liner wear you drill it..you can then pull it out..the linears are a pressed fit so you need a press to get the other one in..Or a car jack and two bits of wood worked for me...the put prop back in..

Prop removal tool can be purchused from greenhulk store

    And Liner

Also need to have Inhex socket(I think thats what the Allen key socket is called) and a braker bar...

I think it was cheaper to get all the tools needed and Liner from the US..then to get the dealer to do it...

Were you located...Oh i see ocean reef sorry missed that bit.....You can do it yourself....its hard to explain it but once you see one done its pretty simple....If it can wait two weeks and you can get yourself a liner..I can have a look...I'm in mandurah though...also was you Prop damaged shine a torch up the tunnel and check leading and trailing edge...try and post some Pics if you can....
