How do I Install the "Les Cooke Seadoo Fogging kit" Any pics, vids or Intructions?

Hey folks, have recently acquired the Seadoo fogging kit from Les Cooke @ Seadoo centre Melbourne and wondering if any of you had any close up pics or instructions to make sure I am installing correctly?

    Easy.

On the top of the manifold, on top of each of the inlet tracts, there is a 1cm x 3.5mm nipple, all are in similar positons on all of them.

One is slightly under the ECU mount you will notice.

Get a drill of around 2mm, and bore through these to the inside of the manifold.... in-line from all angles. You can heat up a drill, and push it through, melting the plastic of the manifold if you are careful. Once through all 3, put the 3 short hoses in the kit on to these, and hold them there with sikkaflex or similar, ty-wrap them too, as they hava a tendancy to blow off the fitting too.

And route the long end of the kit to a convenient place to use it.

    A couple of things to remember;

If you take the ecu off, remember to take the battery off, and leave for 15 seconds before removing the connectors.
Be sure that the 3 tubes are firmly fixed in place, and route the rest of the piping to secure place, and tie to something, but not tight, or it will not work well for you.

For $20, which is the price of the kit, another hour of labour, and you could get it fitted. $100 for peace of mind is not too bad a cost really.

    Distance is another question!!

Hi Richie, thanks mate for the advice. Next silly question, now that i have done that, what's next? I am thinking that 4th pipe / line has to be sucking lube or oil from somehwer right? How much do i put in or let it suck up into the other 3 lines for the other valves? Let the engine run for about 3-5 mins? Cable tie the lines loosely but secure and leave it until next winter? How much should i be paying for the gen Seadoo lube from dealer roughly? Appreciate the help as always guys, TG

The 4th pipe is where you squirt the lube into.

Best thing is Bombardier lube. It is around $23-ish a can, which will last you years.

The way to do all this is get the engine running, having flushed her out first. Never run it on or off the hose for more than 2 mins.

....start the engine, and squirt the lube into the pipe untill you hear the engine start to stumble regularly. When it stumbles, just cut the engine, and that should be sufficient to protect the bores etc.

Now if you are keeping it stored, I would give her a good old squirting in there, and get a replacement set of plugs handy for the next season.

Last year, I ran my ski for the first outing after storage on the same plugs, just to make sure all the lube was out, and wouldn't semi-foul the plugs. I changed them as a precautionary measure shortly after.

The aim of the lube is to protect the bores and valve stems, which if you want, you can give her a quick lashing after every run.

The lube also worked on the driveshaft too, but be sure you dont pollute the water as you launch her next time!!
