Wanted to Buy: 4-tec pump housing or complete with nozzle

Just wondering if anyone has a 155 mm pump housing from a 4-tec jet ski/boat they want to sell.
Impeller not required unless it is for a 155-185 Hp model. Need the impeller shaft as well, and possibly other parts but mainly the pump housing.

    Thanks in advance.

thanks Richieb, can you send me some details of what parts you have plus a price(s) please.
I have to replace a std 155mm pump etc from a 951 motor. I'm told that one cavitates if you have a more powerful motor that spins higher in revs, that's why I'm going for the 4 tec type. I'm fairly new at this so I'm guessing I am on the right track.
Also I believe the nozzle isn't interchangeable between the two 155 mm pumps?

Yes, but I'm using this pump on a more powerful motor than the 951, and it's going on a jetboat not a ski.

Bit of a long story but basically i have a Seadoo Jetboat with a 787 single motor. I also bought a 2000 RX Sedoo Jetski with a busted motor. Because i have only just done a full rebuild of the 787 I've swapped it over to the Jetski and replacing the Jetboat with a Suzuki 164 Hp motor.
I was planning to use the complete pump from the 2000 RX but I'm told because I'm running at around 7,500 rpm, not the usual 6,500 rpm, the 951 pump will cavitate.

That's why i was told to get a 4 tec pump. To do this I think I will need pump, nozzle, steering nozzle, impeller (which I would expect to have to new anyway) and drive shaft.
Also as the drive shaft has different splines for the engine coupling which i would need to look at. Would have been a lot easier with the 951 Pump, but if it isn't capable then better to change.

The pump shoe will be different too.

Major work to upgrade, which may not be necessary. The ouput of the engine will have a different drive spline size/dimension.

To be honest, I'd like to see how much power you would need to out-size the one you have now.

Usually, a play around with different impellers will get around the problem for you.

Post the question on greenhulk.net, am sure someone there has done greater RPM than this.

Sorry SR20lux, but we gotta help!!

Actually the bolt holes for the top 2 bolts are the same between the 140mm & 155mm pump and still centred, bottom holes are slightly different but modifiable.
I've already made an adapter plate to go between the Pump shoe and the 155 mm pump so I'm hoping that part will be OK regardless of 951 or 4 Tec pump used.
Not sure of the bolt holes between 951 & 4 tec pump housing, by if i needed to modify that that part, then would be OK.

I agree with using the current 951 pump, that would be a lot easier. I would have thought using a modified 951 motor would have increased revs up to 7,500 and power above the 951s 130HP. I'm not that much above perhaps?? at 165 HP. I'm guessing that when the 4tec came along all pumps were changed to the heavier type to be more standard!

I think I would be able to get a Solas or Skat Trak impeller OK for the 951 pump, but just not sure of the 951 pump making those type of revs without damage.

Thanks for your help on this. I've posted on a different forum in the states and got a lot of negative feed back on saying not to do the upgrade, but I don't see why I can't overcome these challenges.

    also who's SR20lux?

    Cheers Rob.

I have heard of motors with 170+hp, but not seen them as such.

I would be looking at a better prop, like the ones you have said.

Can sell you a pump if you like, but I think propping would be the solution.

SR20lux is the Administrator, and touting other places for info can be a little of a no-no, so I figured it was best to be clean on it.

Is that the 951 you are indicating with the 170 hp+ ?

You probably are right, I think I will see what I can find out about whether the 951 has a higher capacity or what issues I would face.
I still have to replace the 951 pump housing, it has half a blade missing on one of the vanes which wouldn't help.

Do you want to send me a pm or whatever on how much you want and how much of the pump you have to sell etc. I still might consider it, depending on how hard it all gets.

Ah yes Administrators don't like that sort of thing!!

Hello Richieb, pm sent. I'm still thinking I may go to a 4tec pump, can you let me know what you have in parts and prices please.
