    My First Jetski Race Day

Thanks to all the guys and girls that took part in organising today, What a fantastic Day!

after 3 weeks of Jetski ownership and speaking to a few of the club members over the past few weeks I decided it was time to race.

I didn't realise how hard it was to hang onto the handlebars for what seemed like 30 mins each race.

my first race I hung back at the start and let the fast boys get away and made some room for myself, just trying to stay out of everyones way and hang on 3/4 into the race, arm pump was starting to become a big problem and hanging on was a problem but managed to make it to the finish without falling off.

The 2nd race came round so quickly and decided I was going to try harder at the start, after the splits I found myself in 3rd position and learned things are much smoother near the front so gameplan now was to just stay on the ski and stay in 3rd until the 3rd lap when arm pump became a problem and the ski decided to go around the bouy without me hanging onto it, by the time I got back on, I had lost a lap so just hung on as best I could until the chequered flag.

3rd race and I was seriously having doubts about being able to hang on for the whole race so gameplan for the 3rd race was to just stay on the ski.
The start was a shocker my ski bogged down and was spluttering off the start and was left at the back so coasted to the end at the back just and just enjoyed being out there.

arm pump was the biggest problem for me today but hopefully that will get better with more time on the ski, thanks to everyone who took part and for such a great day

See you at the next one!

King of the River : After you complete your last Moto of the Round i.e Moto 3 ...

You jump straight into a 30 lap enduro with all the skis , power means nothing as I won it last year on a stock 800 XP ....

Its more about mind over a lot of pain ....

And you pick up a huge ass trophy which is passed on year to year ...

King of the river is awesome. You do not want to miss this event. We did rolling starts last year! All classes (except poleys - sorry boys) all at once.
It makes for a very exciting 1st marker situation!
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it!
