    RXT215 - 3 months old & 3 major things already - reliability questions arising?

Hey folks, getting a little nervous here and need some reassurance. My rxt 215 is only 3 months old and been back to the dealership a few times, some quality and reliability questions are going through my mind...
    1) TOPPS system failure - they cleared the message on BUDDS , didn't do a thing so had to go back and they replaced the sensor. Frustration as ski day planned and no skiing.
    2) Ski / wakeboard pole - the 2 horizontal nylon threaded nuts came out and the gel coating at the base of the pole is now cracked! wtf? Didn't realise it while skiing, pole slightly bent backwards and no clear explanation from the dealer. No fibreglass cracks.
    3) Strut and casing under hood - casing came loose and strut popped off. Hood extra loose and more water got in on weeekend. Hood doesn't stay up now. Getting fixed today from dealer.

All covered under warranty but just seems a little strange to me, am i being paranoid? Its not a cheap toy here and I want to look after it. Do these types of things happen to any of you guys?
I am glad it has a 2 year warranty. I have done 21 hours and its been great bar these things going wrong. Price to pay for our sport or a Seadoo reliability thing? Been skiing on flat stuff and small wave jumping in teh bay. Small is about 3 ft. Its my first ski so I am still trying to get a gauge. Paid #385 fro its 10 hr service & that was with a 10% discount.
Appreciate any insight , good or bad.
    Cheers

Dont be too concerned. I purchased a brand new BMW a few years back and the first month it was in and out of the dealership weekly with pissy little problems and ECU malfunctions. The TOPPS crappin out is just one of those things. As for the ski pole and hood strut, they sound more like dealer install problems as the ski's are not totally assembled from factory, and the local dealers usually put those things together.
Dont be disheartened just yet, get out and enjoy it to the maximum but at the same time make sure it gets the attention and maintenance these machines require. Unfortunately it looks like I might have to give the sport away due to a spinal condition I have and that is more disheartening than any problem my ski's have ever given me!!!!!

Happens sometimes unfortunately, I bought a new bike in 08 and it destroyed 2 motors in less that 1,000kms, third time lucky though. That’s one thing that worries me a bit about buying a new ski from the states, sure you get a brand new ski for the price of a good used one but the used one is more likely to have the bugs sorted out.

Its a Seadoo thing. $385 for a 10 hour service sounds a little steep to me though. What exactly did they do in this service?

    Cheers

Hi. I also have a Wake 215, about 2 months old. No problems so far, 21 hrs. Seemed they did rip you off with the service, I paid $241 for mine at the Seadoo Dealership.

hey sly psi, your comment about buying an imported ski is not really correct.I have imported and sold over 80 Seadoo,s now with only one ski having issues being supercharger washers on a 07 RXT.This issue was repaired under the warranty that i supply with all the skis i sell.It seems that 2 of the 3 issues had by TGRXT215 were cauesd by a lack of care during pre delivery.I guess what i,m trying to say is that the imported is no different to the one you buy from your local dealer. And yes i could have diagnosed and repaired the TOPPS failure as i am equipped with all the genuine Seadoo BUDDS software and hardware.
    cheers Stewart
