WANTED: rxp or rxt hull, damaged or good condition. $$$cash paid$$$

Hi, I have a badly damaged rxt. Hit hard in the front. I am searching for a second-hand hull in any condition as i can repair mine by cut and shutting with the front off an rxp/rxt. A bare rxt hull in good condition would also be suitable (and save me a lot of time) i know a lot of people pull motors out of these things for projects.... please email highriseinteriors@hotmail.com or call me 0438984400. Thanks.

    Sad to hear mate

How much of the front are you talking about? By the sounds of this its most of it....

Dude i don’t know about you but i defiantly wouldn’t feel safe on a cut and shut ski. You’re guaranteed to crack it once you hit some descent surf/chop over a short period of time.

You get cracks in a hulls that havn't been compromised and on brand new skis image on one that’s been cut and shut.

Also remember that one day you will need to sell it to an unsuspecting buyer.
For your safety and the next owner, i highly recommend you don’t. You’re going to be putting a venerable ski into our market.

I speak strongly about this because i have seen it firsthand.
My mate bought an RXP which had been in an accident and the seller did not disclose this in the sale. He test rode it before he bought it for a few minutes and all seemed fine.
We then took it out the following weekend. After a few hours of riding IT SUNK !!
Luckily he was insured and insurance payed him out. He ended up buying the ski back from the insurance to sell for parts to make up for money he lost. Once we ripped out the motor we discovered that the hull had been damaged and repaired this is where the water came from. It was only small but enough to bring it down.

Imagine if I wasn’t out there with him that day and he went down with the ski. Imagine how the previous owner would feel. Do you want to be in that position?

No matter how good your repair job a big job like this isn’t a good idea. Skis take a pounding and it wouldn’t last long.

Your best bet is to save your 3gs on a hull strip the one you have and sell for parts and put it towards a new ski. Or if you have insurance make a claim.

If you do find one I hope you use it for the right reason.
Sorry if i come across a bit harsh but its just hapened to a close mate of mine in the middle of Botany bay, its fuc*** scary shit and wouldnt wish it upon anyone.
    JMPO

    Cheers
    Sam

i understand what your saying. it is a major repair. i would rather get a second hand hull and use all my running gear.. trouble is finding one thats not damaged.... my ski has only done 35hrs and didn't sink. a blown rxt/p would be my best bet. any ideas were to get one?
