Thread: 2009 or 2010 Wake 215?

I'm looking to buy a jetski for the first time. After many hours searching around the net ive decided on a GTX 215 wake edition. However im not sure on whether to get the 2009 or 2010 model. I like the idea of the ski mode in the 2010 model however i also like the idea of the wake ballast system in the 2009 model which the 2010 doesn't have. Advice greatly appreciated Thanx.

Hey Justin,

I am not too sure what the major difference is between the 2 models, but have been told it is not much. There is some cracker deal out there on the 2009 models, and I would think that this is the way to go. I bought one in January this year, and they are awesome. I have not used the ballast system yet, although I have been wakeboarding with the ski. It is a pretty good set-up, but does add a lot of weight to the ski (90kg). It was suggesteed to me that you only use it once you are VERY comfortable with the ski and its handling.

If I was you I would wait for the 2011 range!!! New hull and bigger motor

I seriously doubt whether a "new" hull will replace the already new S3 hull. As for a bigger motor,..now where did I leave that crystal ball?
