Newbie advice on 2008 GTX Wake 215hp SC with 7 hours

    Hi Guys,

Just wanted to ask peoples thoughts on the following.

I have opportunity to buy a 2008 GTX Wake 215hp SC Ski.
    Asking price is 17,500.

I have inspected the unit and it is in perfect cosmetic condition, not even any sand rash on the hull, almost showroom condition.
It has 7hours on the clock and the guy is selling due to an injury that prevents him using it, hense only 7hours.
So far it has only been used in a fresh water lake so hasn't been exposed to saltwater yet.

My concern is that due to the lack of use and the elapsed years what could if anything be wrong with it???
It has not yet been serviced (although should have) as 10hours has not yet been reached.
The guys starts it from time to time using flush cycle just to turn the motor over for a minute or 2 but it hasn't been on the water for about 16months.

Just asking for thoughts on the price and condition the engine would be in before I proceed further?

    Thanks,
    Peter.

I'd get a professional to come out and see it, i wouldn't believe everything the guy says.

For a 2008 model with 7 hours seems really fishy to me, that's like one weekend's use and when you own a ski you do that straight away!

I'd be getting the pro to check the oil, spark plugs etc this will give him a clearer indication if it's been serviced

I'm not saying don't get it just be careful.

    cheers,
    dom
