aCTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS kWAKI and i had typed my reply to this post before you responded but still its your 5 minutes actions that puts a report on the rangers desk Something like this... Jetski hoons again breaking freestyle rule. Spoke to them they say they won't do it again etc etc.

His next meeting on the dam out come the statistics.. JEtskiers again causing problems. OK easier just ban em. bunch of hoons..

Unfortunately until every Jetski owner relizes this and takes positive action to turn around the negative image the public has of these "hoons on water" then they will keep taking and not giving...

the big ski boat was just having a bit of fun no foul done....

They get it, they just band together in an effort to shut the whole thing down. If 1 is a hoon, all r hoons, SHUT EM DOWN!!! Dumping of rubbish, insurance claims, law suits, etc etc etc are all BIG factors in these issues. I KNOW it sucks, hell I ride MX & skis. But.....I do agree largely with Chookc on this. Gnangara pines is a perfect example of costly time & effort for local council & gov't. I've nearly been killed there at least twice. I'd sooner ride illegally on crown land then the pines!

But don't forget Kawicustom we also have 99% of the WA coast (within 5 nautical miles) to ride in. Technically there are only 2 PWC freestyle areas BUT, fact has it that WA has very few open dams that are not used as a current water supply to the public or at least the locals, hence the lack of fresh water riding locations. Unfortunately, comparing skis with ski boats is like comparing dirt bikes to street cars. The fast nimble little machines always cop the blame 1st. It DOESN'T help when even 1 of us breaks the rules, let alone publicises it mate. Folks see it & monkey see-monkey do kicks in with a dose of chinese whispers, causing it to escelate out of hand quicker than authorities can deal with, which is why they'd sooner shut the whole thing down, causing most to ride illegally, of which at least 40% get caught, bringing on criminal charges in court with public coverage & those ignorant do-gooders go to town with it.

The only way we can get anywhere is to spread the word to abide by the law, know the law & be prepared to stand your ground.

If only someone had a 1-2 sq/km freshwater dam within 50km of perth.... they could make a KILLING if they set themselves up right.
