    Charity ride

Just wondering if JSW or anyone here in Perth does a charity ride annually?

Something like the one the motorcyclists do each year where they travel down the freeway and deliver toys etc for children, or perhaps even a ride where you take the kids along for a joy ride?

I've searched the forum but couldn't find anything. If there isn't one currently held, is this something that is perhaps in the pipeline.....or is there too much red tape and insurance requirements stopping this from coming to fruition?

    Cheers

Imorgan what you are suggesting has been discussed on many occasions and I believe JSW did run an event that engaged a charity organisation. Last year we had Santa visit the Narrows and give presents to the kids. There is no specific charity event planned for the moment. A long term view is that when significant rides such as Rotto become established we may align it to a specific charity.
I would love to organise an event that gave riders an opportunity to take someone who is less fortunate on a fun ride. As you rightly point out insurance liability tends to be the greatest barrier. That is not to say its impossible, just requires more people with more time to be involved.

Here are some memories of JSW in supporting the seniors week and also Rotto Rides use to support the Princess Magaret Foundation..
