Thread: Carnac Island

Hiya All,

Has anyone ridden to carnac Island, I reckon this would be a great ride.

anyone thinking of doing a skiing weekend away or something??? no wives, no kids... just blokes......hi octane fuel....... camping out on the beach..........alcohol.......male bonding.........tight neoprene outfits........ hmmm think that sounds a bit suss, but heeyyyy!!!

like secret mens business.... team leaders are jagsy and dontbugme.....

Mmmm....I have already shocked the pants off Manda once this week so I will refrain from making any comments here except to say that this sounds like a great outing! I wonder if I could hire a ski??????

Sounds like a plan retro, I am hell bent on doing something like this, so far with work and family I have had limited time to give my new toy a real run but will am hanging to do something like this.

so with those who have younguns, whats the preference?????

thinking of being able to fuel up locally if we need to, ie on the water to save any hassles in terms of carrying jerry cans etc..... dontbugme and jagsy have fuelled up @ port bouvard apparently but fuel is just normal unleaded.. but a few bottles of octane booster is alot easier to carry....

are we talking maybe staying just 1 night??? 2 nights??? meet up on a friday evening... set up camp then behave like little children the following days???

what do people want to do??? wave jump?? estuary cruising???? gotta think of somewhere else to ride if conditions are shite for the day... pretty sure if we are close to mandurah, we can also get to a bottle shop near the dome too

just tossing ideas around....... slasher, i'll email you so you can send it out to JSW members once we have some sort of date and idea of whats happening.... and make sure it desnt conflict with race dates or something...

maybe even make a poll or something... i know there is a caravan park down in dawesville with its own boatramp... maybe we could book something there.... not everyone has 4wd's for beach launches so we have to think about that as well...

maybe a couple of rubber dingy's to put all the gear in and tow behind ski's..... maybe....... sounds like a good trip start at rocko down to mandurah some wave jumpin then down to bunbury stay on the beach somewhere in between. If you average 60-70kms in the ocean should only be a few hours. Maybe a support boat. mmmmmmmm.......
