Guski, I have been informed NOT to block off my oil as some older skis do because mine is fuel injected....something to do with the injectors dont like premix.
Not sure if applicable to your ski?

As far as oil usage havent really taken much notice! Dont think so but maybe if oil leaking into motor when sitting then maybe a wee little bit more? BUT the ski runs perfect after it stops chugging from smokin! If idle around then chugs for ages but soon as WOT then cough splatter burp cough - GO....

It could be the injection system still dumps a lil extra fuel after you hit the kill switch and is unburned. Fuel evaporates leaving the oil behind for the initial start up.

    or

    Oil injection is leaking

either way it aint a real problem and a good WOT ride will crispen it up.

With my carb stand up ski the trick is to rev at full throttle and hit stop switch to draw fuel into motor unburnt to lubricate when not being used, this gives it a smokey start the next time.

Maybe go a hotter plug if your towing alot to help burn the fuel.

    ALL IS COOL.
