Whenever I either go through a wave or dig the nose in to the point of water coming over the fairing, my engine loses one cylinder momentarily. A pain when in the surf.
It was suggested to me that it might be the pressure pushing the hatch cover down and starving it of air, tested that, not true.
Does anybody have any suggestions about what this might be?
water ingress on one cylinder causing it to run rough.. high moisture content in the air getting to the carbs.. try sealing up the front so no water can get in... keep your hull free of water as you turn or dive sharply water can splash of the inside of the hull into the carb intakes.. as i think these are fairly low in the hull on the gpr
gprs while awesome for jumping tend to gulp a bit of water into the first part of your intake system after nose stabbing or similar action where water enters hull where it sits and waits till you turn or jump to get sucked thru as very soggy air, also being carburated diaphrams can wear to the point excess load cannot be suppoted only true fix would be to have a quick look at your intake system if it seams overly wet or your water seperator has water in it, dont be too shy to put kits through your carbs you can be surprised at what it can do, i eould put kits through my own ski every 3 years
