Gday just a questian for gpr owners whats the best way to carry extra fuel on a gpr 1300 is there a rack you can buy 2 go on the back of the ski or maybe a special shape fuel drum that fits in the front compartment....?

Also how much better would the new fzr be on fuel?

When I had my GP1200R for long trips I used to wrap a 20 litre plastic fuel drum in an old PFD and tie it down well on the rear using the hold down holes and the grab handle.

I've owned a SHO, same engine in same tune as an FZR and you will find both GPR and FZR go about 2 kilometers per litre of fuel......So the answer FZR is no better on average than GPR.
FZR from memory does have a 70 litre gas tank and you should at least be able to get a 10 litre drum in the front........SHO would not take a 20 and would not take 2X10s, only 1X10 litre, so I guess FZR is much the same.

Personally i wouldn’t carry any extra fuel on board.
With all the shaking around and stuff the jerry can can pressurise etc.
    I wouldn’t think its safe.
