    Intro + a Question!

    Hey all,

My name's Bill, im from Sydney and own a '06 Yamaha GP1300R with minor mods . This is my second ski previously owned a '03 Yamaha GP800R =)

So... The lock on the front hatch of my ski has been on its way out and last weekend it finally gave way. its a little part but it costs alot, anyways ive ordered it and was just trying to get the plastics off to get to the lock on the front of the ski.

Q: Does anyone know how this is done or have a workshop manual for the wave runner, cause i dont want want to break anything in the process.

    Thanks!

Bill they just pop out but do it slowly and work from front to back and if you get stuck take a breather and go back. Be careful!

Hi guys, thanks for the warm welcome and quick replies.

I ride around botany for the most part just cause its easiest to get to, or just stick to the local river.

Currently running GPR Pump Exit Nozzle (87mm) and RIVA GP1300R Cat Removal D-plate, im happy with the mods so far.. not really looking at going any faster any time soon

Thanks for your help guys, I think ill wait for the manual the previous owners snapped the front 2, lol

Ive already signed the Sydney harbour petition which i found out through fb.

How is that going btw? any updates..

EMail will be sent very soon dom, cheers!

    Done!

    Thanks heaps Dom.

I thought it was going to be soo much harder, i was mainly worried about the clips, but only had to take the front 4 off and lift the whole cover to get to the lock - i replaced it and put everything back...

I had trouble with one of the hex bolts near the 'glove' compartment which i ended up sawing off LOL frustration was it its peak.. its 11 oclock at night and the stupid hex bolt is now rounded, we tried drilling it out to no avail with the more effort we put the more risk the plastics would melt from the heat generated from friction. its too short to grab and twist out. So i opted for the metal hack saw...

But yea apart from 1 stupid hexbolt the rest was sweet! locked and loaded ready for the weekend!!
