    Gp1200r

    Hey everyone
Im new to this site and the ski world and have just bought a 2000 gp1200r with works intake grate ,soloas impeller 13/19 i think , r and d ride plate the motor have been rebuilt and has wisco pistions in it. I love the ski as it goes better than i thought it would. It has a top speed of 111 which i did on a fresh water dam is this a normal speed for this ski?
I have just pulled the motor down as one piston was at 95psi and the rest were at 100 psi, i found no signs of any probs so i have ordered a set of rings and wave eaters through steve as he has been great to deal with. If there is any hints or problems with these skis would be great to hear about them.
    Cheers Matt

Solas 13/19 is the correct after market prop. for your ski.
Don't believe the 'dreamo' that shows your top speed.......It's wildly optimistic. 62/63 MPH or a genuine 100 KPH is nearer the mark for a stock GPR. Check it with a GPS for an accurate reading.

Compression is VERY low on your engine, yet you say it's rebuilt???????
It should be around 130psi and EVEN on all cylinders.
Perhaps new rings will cure it?????? Good luck.

Be sure to de-glaze the bore, otherwise the new rings will not bed in.

    Hey Matt,

Thanks for the kind words, we'll get you sorted with the rings and hopefully sort your comp out.

Matt it's only for visibility in the surf etc so unless you want it back on there leave it off. How has it been removed just the hose been taken off?
