Hi all, just like to know how a jet ski would run if it had contaminated fuel in it? I took my ski out the other day after fuelling up at Mobile, it started same as usual but after around 10 minutes i couldn't full throttle the ski and then it just kept on cutting out so i had to get towed back to the boat ramp. cheers.
Hows it going mate? Yeah it is carby, thought it was the fuel only because my mate reckons it happened to him, but i called the mechanic today and he thinks i might need a re build. Is it common the happen this early i only have 86 hours on it? cheers.
86 hours on a rebuild motor or 86 hours on a rebuilt carby?
Before you go spending hard earned cash drain the fuel (safely) and load it her up with some new fuel from a different servo. At least that way you can eliminate that. If it keeps happening then i would be checking the carby next.
