    Yamaha gp800 screen problems

Hey i got a gp800 2001 model, the dash screen broke years ago due to a bit of condensation getting into it, anyways i was doin some wave jumping the other day and had a pretty hard landing and all of a sudden the dash has started to make a constant buzzing sound that wont go away even when the motor has stopped. i disconnect the battery and it goes, but as soon as i put the battery back in it comes back. pretty much all i wanna know is how the fuck do i disconnect the screen without cutting the wires so to speak. is there a safe way to do this?? any help would be appreciated as i wanna go out again this weekend! haha thanks guys
